We truly are in the golden age for indie games. It seems like every few weeks, we here at TGPZ shine a spotlight on an upcoming indie Zelda-like game, and today is no different. Developer Dyadic Games is hard at work on a title called Sikanda, which it describes as “a 3D top-down action-adventure with RPG elements, inspired by famous Japanese SNES classics of the 90s.” Sikanda’s main feature is a pendant (named Sikanda) that transforms into a variety of tools and weapons to help the protagonist battle enemies and solve puzzles. The game looks gorgeous and promises an amazing soundtrack. This looks like it is shaping up to be a must-buy for fans of classic top-down Zelda games!
You can check out Sikanda’s trailer below, or click here to view it on YouTube. Dyadic Games is launching a Kickstarter campaign for the game on August 14th, and it is expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch in 2020.
