Mario and Zelda are the two biggest names in the Nintendo franchise. Both series have consistently been releasing titles since the 1980’s and have sold millions of copies. Some of the entries for both series are some of my favorite games ever. No one can deny that the success of the Nintendo Switch is in large part due to the release of Breath of the Wild and later on Super Mario Odyssey. With so much success between the two games, one might wonder why Nintendo has never made a game combining the two. If Nintendo were to make this type of game, how should they go about doing it?
YouTuber Dr.Wily explores this subject in one of his recent videos. He first touches on the need for exploration and how it should be incorporated into the game. He then goes on to say that both the Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule need to be set in the same world, something that I also agree with. Lastly, he addresses the Kafei and Anju side quest from Majora’s Mask and how elements of that can be used in the new game. Would you like to see a game with both Mario and Link in it? Let us know down in the comments.
