I’m guessing this animation was created with Unreal Engine or a similar software because this video is crisp! The colors and textures are vibrant and the detail of characters is also stunning. I particularly like the mastery of hand motions, facial expressions, and sound effects coming together to create a nice, smooth mini story. This video by YouTuber MajorLink recreates the ending scene of the Dodongo’s Cavern arc with gorgeous music in the background and several genuinely funny moments – the only thing that was awry was the punctuation and spelling. The script could have used an editor desperately – but I got the point anyway. The Gorons are my absolute favorite tribe in the Zelda franchise and it was awesome to see Darunia rendered in beautiful 3D. His personality was captured perfectly and I enjoyed the added lines about growing up at the end, it reminded me of Daruk from BotW which is fitting. Link’s facial expressions are so cute and verbal without saying a thing, and the relatively simple setting still evokes a feeling of great nostalgia. His costume is more detailed than even the 3DS title and I chuckled at how oversize the Hylian Shield on him turned out, we love a tiny hero. The sequence where Darunia gives Link the Goron’s Ruby is probably my favorite part. After this, I continued watching other shorts from this artist and subscribed to their channel, so I think it’s safe to give this one a 9/10 only because of a few minor grammar flubs. Thank you for reading, see you next time!
