Nintendo recently announced that it has updated some of the hardware in the Nintendo Switch to help increase the console’s battery time in portable mode. Although this refreshed model isn’t available yet in North America, it has already hit shelves in Hong Kong and Australia. YouTuber MeeMeeGame Channel got his hands on a Switch with the new hardware and fired up The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in portable mode to test out the improved battery life. MeeMeeGame Channel found that the new Switch hardware will run Breath of the Wild in portable mode for over five and a half hours! This is a substantial improvement over the battery life of the original Switch model, which would only play Breath of the Wild for about three hours in portable mode.
