Ocarina of Time is a Zelda game that has been remade several times for different systems. None of those remakes, however, have been done with the help of Unreal Engine 4. In my opinion, the program delivers some of the best graphics I’ve ever seen in gaming. Being that Ocarina of Time is my favorite Zelda game, I’m always down for another remake as long as they make the game feel significantly different. A lot of that can be accomplished by graphics. Even though we don’t have a full scale Ocarina of Time remake done with Unreal Engine, we do have a fan created version that allows us to play all the way through the first dungeon!
YouTuber CryZENx has been working on this project for a while and his goal is to complete the entire game with Unreal Engine 4. His newest version, that comes with a download link in the video description for all to play, takes us from the start of the game all the way to the completion of the Deku Tree. Kokiri Forest looks absolutely gorgeous and one thing that really caught my eye was the water reflection on the walls in the Deku Tree. I can’t wait to see this project progress in the future. I’m very excited to see the Forest, Water, and Spirit Temple.
