I absolutely love the convenience of buying games digitally. I don’t have to keep track of a physical disk or cartridge, and I don’t even have to get off the couch to buy the game. It doesn’t get any better than that, right? Unfortunately, when it comes to buying games digitally, things don’t always go according to plan. Reddit user TheOnlyRealSquare recently uncovered a bug in the Peruvian version of the Nintendo Switch eShop that charges users $262 for Breath of the Wild and its DLC! The bug seems to be an issue with converting the price from US Dollars to Peruvian Soles, and it only occurs when both Breath of the Wild and the DLC are added to the cart. You can see TheOnlyRealSquare’s Reddit post below.
I think the vast majority of us would agree that Breath of the Wild is easily worth the $59.99 sticker price, but $262 is stretching it, even with the DLC! So even though this glitch appears to have been limited to the Peruvian eShop, and has since been fixed, it serves as an excellent reminder to double-check that price before clicking Purchase online!
