Nintendo has finally released more details on the upcoming expansion pass for Breath of the Wild via their Youtube page. This was done during their Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 presentation. The first DLC pack, named The Master Trials, will include such things as Trial of the Sword, Hero’s Path Mode, 8 new armor sets, Korok Mask, and Master Mode. The Trial of the Sword appears to be a new shrine where you are initially stripped of all your items. I can’t wait to see all the creative ways people beat this trial.

I am also very excited about the Korok Mask as I have beaten pretty much everything in the game besides this part. It will be nice to get some kind of indication that a Korok Seed is in the area. You would think with 900 of them that you could find them easily, but sometimes I go 30 minutes without finding one. I currently only have found around 170.

Lastly, I am curious to see what Majora’s Mask will do in the game. This DLC pack will release on June 30th, 2017.

The second DLC pack, named The Champions’ Ballad, will release during Holiday 2017. We weren’t really given any more details other than that, but I’m sure we will closer to this holiday season.

Along with the 2 DLC packs, Nintendo will also be releasing 4 new Amiibos depicting the champions from Breath of the Wild.
