Majora’s Mask has certainly gained its popularity amongst Zelda fans due to its unique nature and darker atmosphere. From the beginning of the game, the player is immediately called to action following the theft of Epona and terrifying transformation into a Deku Scrub. The only way to find out why this has happened to Link and how to fix it is to keep moving forward. One of the first places you are directed to during the players’ exploration of Clock Town is the Astral Observatory, a colorful building home to various oddities — a Cucco in a cage, Pierre the dancing Scarecrow, and a Moon’s Tear displayed in a glass case.

The dreamlike theme of the Astral Observatory only serves to add to the strange atmosphere, as the building offers a wider glimpse into the world of Termina. It is the place that players are shown the Moon in detail and see the Skull Kid for the first time since the transformation into a Deku Scrub. YouTuber Sam Griffin Guitar provides us with a fantastic acoustic guitar cover of the nostalgic theme; by listening to it, you can visualize climbing the rainbow stairs to greet the astronomer and hear the creak of the telescope as you gaze across Termina, and remember that this was only the beginning of your adventure.
