Breath of the Wild is near perfect in many different gaming categories. That’s why it has already won numerous game of the year awards. However, there is one aspect of the game that drives almost every player insane, and that is the amount of rain that occurs in the game. It always seems to happen at the worst times. You almost done climbing that tall cliff? Well here’s some rain! I can’t even tell you how many times this happened to me in the forested area of Hyrule. It really turned me off to visiting the area in the game, which is sad because the forest areas were always one of my favorite areas in many Zelda games.
One question we all need to ask ourselves though, is can the insane weather actually be scientifically explained? YouTuber The Game Theorists tackles this question in a new video. They attempt to measure the land area of Hyrule to know how cataclysmic the weather should be. They use an 8 point temperature scale and focus on the air pressure. Their conclusion is very interesting. Do you agree with their science? Do you have a better explanation? Let us know in the comments.
