YouTuber DigitalFoundry does what they do best, and digs deep into the numbers of a newly released port, “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess”, for the Nvidia Shield TV. Only available in Chinese markets, but an official Nintendo release in partnership with the people whose name is probably on your graphics card, the emulator runs the original Wii/GameCube era game as opposed to the HD remaster released on the Wii U in 2016. The video itself delves into the crunch of specs and frame rates comparing each version of Twilight Princess against this one before presenting an argument as to whether or not this will make way for a Switch port of the 2006 new-classic. Does an official release of a 12 year old game on a niche platform in a particular market spell hope for an HD remaster re-release of the same game on everybody’s favorite little hybrid console? Only time may tell, but DigitalFoundry makes a good argument for why it does.
